Established in 2010, Lumo Energy is owned by Snowy Hydro Limited along with Red Energy. Together they have more than 1 million electricity customers. Lumo currently operates in Victoria and South Australia, with two residential plans and two to three business plans to choose from.

All customers have access to Lumo Rewards™, a program that offers ongoing discounts at popular retailers.

Does Lumo Energy offer green energy?

Lumo Energy is owned by Snowy Hydro Limited, one of Australia’s largest renewable energy generators. Lumo Energy offers two GreenPower plans for residential and business customers in SA and one in VIC.

Keep in mind GreenPower currently costs an estimated 4 to 8 cents per kWh on top of the standard rate – that’s around $1 a day for an average household2.

Does Lumo Energy offer solar rebates?

Lumo Energy offers a solar feed-in tariff on all residential electricity plans.

Current rates are: 

Victoria – 3 cents per kW hour3

South Australia – 8 cents per kW hour3

What residential energy plans does Lumo Energy offer?

Lumo Energy offers four residential plans with a range of prices, member benefits and discounts.

An electricity and/or gas plan for people who want reliable energy at the lowest cost.

Does Lumo Energy offer business plans?

In order to benefit from a Lumo Energy business plan, you first need to be qualified as a small business.

A small business in Victoria needs to use 40MWh for electricity and less than or equal to 1TJ for gas annually.

A small business in South Australia needs to use 160MWh for electricity and less than or equal to 1TJ for gas annually.

Ways to pay your bills

Pay your bill online, by direct debit, by phone, BPAY,, mail or in person at Australia Post or Centrelink.

You can also post a cheque.

To avoid large bills, you can spread your payments with EvenPay®, where set amounts are regularly deducted by direct debit.

Does Lumo Energy offer member benefits?

The Lumo Rewards™ program offers 4,500 discounts with hundreds of popular retailers for residents and small businesses in South Australia.

You join through the MyAccount app.
