Accidental Income Protection FAQs
This policy provides a benefit of up to $2,000 a month if a physical injury from an accident stops you from working. Payments kick in after a 30-day waiting period and can continue for up to two years while you’re unable to work. The benefit paid is subject to a limit of 60% of your pre-disability earnings. Terms and conditions apply and are set out in the PDS.
No, this is specifically Accidental Income Protection. It only pays out if your inability to work is due to a physical injury from an accident. It does not cover sickness, illness, natural causes, or mental health symptoms or other matters excluded in the PDS, even if they arise from an accident.
The 10% discount is an ongoing benefit for Compare Club health customers and applies for the life of your policy.
The waiting period (30 days for this offer) is the minimum period time you must be disabled before a benefit will be paid.
The benefit period (up to two years for this offer) is the maximum time you can receive payments for a single period of injury (or related injury).

This is a no-lock-in contract, you may cancel at any time and need to contact ClearView directly.
Yes, your policy has a variable age-stepped premium. This means your premium is recalculated each year and generally increases as you get older and in line with indexation. Your premium can also change if ClearView reviews its premium rates or in other circumstances outlined in the PDS. The Compare Club Client Services Team are here to help and answer questions, whenever you need but we'll also reach out on the anniversary of your policy to discuss your renewal and any Premium increases.
You can claim if you become disabled solely due to a physical injury from an accident. There are two key definitions of 'disabled' that apply:
Yes. To be eligible for a claim, you must be under the appropriate regular care and following the advice of a medical practitioner. ClearView may also require you to be under the care of an appropriate medical specialist where relevant to your disability, and to be making reasonable efforts to undertake an appropriate rehabilitation program or steps.
